Summer Skills Intensive Series *

  • For sensitive thoughtful girls entering upper elementary who may struggle to advocate for themselves, feel overwhelmed by shifting peer dynamics, or need support navigating “mean girl’ moments with confidence and resilience.

    A week designed to help girls:

    • Navigate changing peer dynamics

    • Build authentic self-confidence

    • Manage social stressors and exclusion

    • Practice real-time peer interaction

    • Develop healthy boundaries

    • Strengthen assertive communication

  • For children who experience big emotional reactions, frustration intolerance, or anxiety and benefit from structured support to strengthen regulation and coping skills in real time.

    A week is designed to help children:

    • Identify and express emotions

    • Improve frustration tolerance

    • Build flexible thinking skills

    • Recover from disappointment

    • Practice social skills in real-time

    • Participate in movement & regulation breaks

  • For younger children learning to manage big feelings, strengthen cooperation, and build foundational social emotional skills through structured, play based learning.

    • Express and recognize emotions

    • Practice turn-taking and cooperation

    • Engage in guided play and cooperative games

    • Build perspective-taking skills

    • Develop flexible thinking

    • Participate in movement & regulation breaks

  • For students who are bright and capable but struggle with organization, follow-through, time-management, or emotional impulsivity - especially as academic expectations increase.

    A week designed to help children:

    • Implement organization systems

    • Improve task initiation strategies

    • Build planning & time management skills

    • Strengthen emotional impulse control

    • Practice follow through strategies

    • Learn practical tools for school success

Our Summer Skills Intensive Series offers a carefully curated, small-group experience where children learn and practice social-emotional and executive functioning skills through guided, playful, and intentional activities.

Program Highlights

  • Five consecutive days

  • 3-hour daily sessions (9:00am - 12:00pm)

  • Small groups (4-5 participants) for individualized attention.

  • Experiential and play based learning

  • Real time peer-interaction and guided practice

  • Parent summary with recommendations included

  • Led by graduate-level clinician in training under licensed supervision

Andrea Vargas, LMHC, RPT-S

Practice Owner & Program Supervisor

Andrea designs and oversees all curriculum and provides clinical supervision throughout the week. With extensive experience supporting children and teens, she ensures each group is structured, safe, and meaningful.

Alexandra Vergara, Graduate-Level Clinician-in-Training

Group Facilitator
With a background in school counseling and education, Alexandra leads small-group sessions under Andrea’s supervision. She brings energy, warmth, and practical skill-building experience to every session.

Investment & Enrollment

Because groups are intentionally small, enrollment is limited to 4–5 participants per group.

Early Enrollment (through April 15): $395
Regular Enrollment: $450

Tuition covers the full week of programming, all materials, and the parent summary.

To ensure the best experience for every child, a brief screening call is required prior to placement. This allows us to carefully match children to the group that best supports their age, developmental needs, and peer dynamics.
